The Knock sensor is an important part of the engine management system.
It detects detonation or pinging and signals the ecu to reduce engine timing to preserve the engine.
Cheaper aftermarket sensors have been proven to be problematic causing check engine lights even after replacement
– This genuine part is a fit and forget fix for faulty knock sensors.
Faulty knock sensors can cause loss of engine performance, a check engine light, as well as engine damage if not addressed.
