THE PRODUCT : CYLINDER HEAD GASKET
Cylinder Head Gaskets seal the Cylinder Head and the Cylinder Block. They are central to the smooth running of your engine.
Failed cylinder head gaskets may cause the following symptoms:
– Loss of engine power
– unexplained coolant loss (having to always top up the radiator)
– Increased engine running temperature or overheating
– excessive white smoke from the exhaust more noticble on idling
– Milky residue on the inside of the oil cap
SPECIFIC ITEM INFORMATION
Cylinder Head Gaskets are not reusable – they should always be replaced when refitting the Cylinder Head
Cylinder Head and Block should be clean with no remnants of old gasket before installation. Skim of the cylinder head is recommended.
Both Head and Block should be checked for warping using a straight edge prior to installation
