THE PRODUCT : FRONT BRAKE CALIPER PISTON
If you have sticking front brakes, this this the part that you need to rebuild your front brake calipers.
Brake Caliper pistons transfer brake pressure to the brake pads and discs to slow the car down.
Over time, the rubber brake seals degrade and allow dirt in to the brake caliper internals. This can cause the caliper to become “sticky” i.e. keep braking even though the brake is not applied. At this stage the caliper piston is usually corroded and pitted, which is the root cause of sticky brakes.
It can also allow air in to the system which reduces braking efficiency.
New brake pistons are recommended when overhauling brake calipers.
