THE PRODUCT : SUMP GASKET (OIL PAN GASKET) 

Sump Gaskets seal between the engine sump (oil pan) and the cylinder block.

Worn sump gaskets will typically leak between the cylinder block and oil pan.

Replacement is also recommended when removing/replacing the sump (oil pan).

• High Temperature range (up to 149 Degrees) – Normal engine oil temperatures are in the 100-120 Degree range

Care should be taken while refitting the sump not to overtighten the retaining bolts, as this can lead to gasket deformation and damage 

RTV Sealant should be used in the corners of the sump as detailed in the Honda workshop manual
