THE PRODUCT : THERMOSTAT
The thermostat regulates coolant temperature by opening and closing at a pre-set temperature to control coolant flow.
Higher water temperatures cause the Engine control unit to lower engine power by retarding ignition timing.
This thermostat opens earlier than the stock thermostat (68 degrees vs 78 degrees).
As a result, water temperatures are maintained at a lower temperature avoiding power loss.
