THE PRODUCT : VTC INTAKE CAM GEAR
Cam gears are part of the engines timing system and connect the camshafts to the crankshaft via the cam chain.
In addition, the intake cam gear contains the VTC mechanism, which is responsible for cam phasing.
Cam phasing relates to advancing or retarding the timing on the intake camshaft.
The VTC cam gear may cause a rattle on startup when worn.
Cam gears should be replaced if the teeth on the gears show signs of wear.
Worn cam gear teeth can cause the chain to jump or skip teeth, which may in turn cause engine damage.

The K24 Cam gear is a 25 Degree Cam gear that is restrictive.
Upgrading the cam gear to this item which is a 50 Degree Cam gear opens up possibilities of extracting more engine power during tuning.
