THE PRODUCT : TIMING CHAIN
The timing chain connects the engine crankshafts and camshafts.
They are a very important part in the smooth operation of the engine.
These chains can stretch over time. n nTypically, but not always, stretched chains will cause a check engine light to be illuminated.
Normally, the check engine fault code will relate to a camshaft position error (P0341).
If error code P0341 appears on your vehicle, it is almost certain that you will need a new timing chain and tensioner!
Replacement is also recommended when carrying out an engine rebuild.
Failed timing chains can cause serious engine damage.
