Timing Chains connect the crankshaft to the camshafts in the engine.

Timing chains stretch over time, and distort engine timing once stretched. 

Timing chain stretch will cause a check engine light to come on and loss of VTEC.

The code commonly associated with timing chain problems is P0341, so if you have this fault code, it is likely that you will need a new timing chain and tensioner.

SPECIFIC ITEM INFORMATION 

It is recommended to change the timing chain tensioner at the same time as the timing chain
